The Coffee School graduates a new class of cuppers
Producers, members' children and young people from La Convención completed the specialty coffee cupping programme.
The COCLA Coffee School closed a new training cycle with the graduation of its class of cuppers. Participants completed the basic, intermediate and advanced levels at the cooperative's quality control laboratory in Quillabamba.
During the programme they evaluated lots from member cooperatives, learned to identify cup defects and to score coffees using market criteria. Several of them already support quality control in their own cooperatives.
